Bishopscourt 15th March 2008

16th Mar 08
The new motorcycle race season is well on its way after the first Irish race meeting held at Bishopscourt.
I left home at 8am thinking the meeting would be cancelled as I was driving through heavy rain and mist but low and behold when I arrived at the circuit the bikes where already out on track at 09-15hrs!!

Indeed the weather was much better and clerk of the course Noel Johnston
and the Dundrod club where determine to go racing.
yes it was damp and windy but the rain did not come on till near the end of the meeting.

Bruce Anstey and Cameron Donald where very rusty during practice but where getting to grips with the conditions in time for the offical races.

There was good craic in the paddock and everyone was preparing for the new race season.

The racing itself was enjoyable with Bruce Anstey getting a treble and Cameron Donald his first superbike win for TAS Relentless Suzuki.

Ryan Farquhar was showing good form along with Michael Pearson etc.

So there you go the 2008 season has started and it will be all go again at Easter.
