Young Guns in BSB Race Meeting's

22nd Apr 08
On the way to Southampton airport someone rang to say Paul Jordon won the 125GP class at Thruxton.
My first reaction was blast as I had spent all morning try to photograph riders from home and had called to see Paul a couple of times but always missed him.
Anyhow it is just a fantastic result for the young Magherafelt rider who I don't have a clue what he looks like.
I missed the 125GP race as I had to dash to the airport but I did meet a few off the local lads from home.
125GP Lisburn rider Stuart Elwood comes from a racing heritage and he is very fortunate to have UTV camera-man Albert Kirk as his team manager something that many riders regret ie someone to guide and manage them on the way.
Nicole McAleer from Omagh is gaining more experiance in 125GP,
Nicole has plenty of talent and in a good team so lets hope she can pick up some good results during the 2008 season.
Nicky Coates is now in Junior superskock along with Eddie Haddock from Portadown and Ballyclare smiler Jamie Hamilton.
Jamie got a third in the Junior Superskock which was also a fantastic result.
Lisburn's Davy Haire has been around for a couple of years now but is also showing good form this season.
When I see all the team riders from home it amazes me to see the sheer hard work and effort they make in order to pursue their careers in motorcycle racing

please forgive if I have missed any young rider at Thruxton and maybe at the next round I will meet up with some of the boys from the South.
