Cookstown 100 Road Races

27th Apr 08

What a sizzler the Cookstown 100 turned out to be with high drama record breaking racing and sadly a race accident involving both rider and spectator that got hurt - not sure of the details but lets hope there is a full recovery for both.
Ryan Farquhar has had his own share of misfortune at the Cookstown 100 but
this time he was declared Man of the Meting after 2 superbike wins.
keith Amor shattered the lap record and was first home in the supersport race.
Amor is always going to be a front runner on the roads this season, one felt Martin Finnegan was only warming up.
Finnegan was just awesome over the jumps and willbe all fired up for the Tandragee this week.
Robert Dunlop showed that he was a winner straight out of the blocks with 2 wins a piece in the 125 race and 250 support.
Riding for Roy Hanna Robert was just a class act.
I missed the earlier races being on duty at Springhill during the world war 2 GI open day.
Darwyn Young won the senior support Andrew Mullan the junior.
Denis Gallagher is still going strong winning the classic race.
